However, now more and more businesses have been using these live videos \u2014 over recorded videos \u2014 to promote their brands and connect &amp; engage with their audiences.<\/p>\n<p>And now, Facebook has given you one more reason to prefer live videos&#8230;.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to a recent announcement by Facebook, live videos will be given preferences over recorded videos in the news feed. This is what the announcement said:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNow that more and more people are watching Live videos, we are considering Live Videos as a new content type\u2026 As a first step, we are making a small update to News Feed so that Facebook Live videos are more likely to appear higher in News Feed when those videos are actually live, compared to after they are no longer live.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">As per the latest count, Facebook get a whopping 8 billion views on its video every single day. However, this does not reveal the breakdown between recorded videos and live videos. We suspect that live videos will get a bigger percentage share when compared to recorded videos, now that live videos will get more exposure in news feed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"normal\">One interesting thing to note here is that Facebook says that page owners should not expect a big change.
