The Rich Results Test tool will fully support all rich results features.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While this is welcome news, the other part of the news may not sit well with some people, at least for a little while.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Now that Google is officially moving the Rich Results Test out of beta, it means that the old Structure Data Testing tool will be deprecated. And although the tool will be available for at least a short period, Google recommends getting familiar with the latest Rich Results Testing tool as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Google, the Rich Results Test has the following benefits over the Structured Data Testing tool:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Better alignment with Google Search Console reports<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ability to render both the desktop and mobile versions of a result<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Highlights valid Search feature enhancements<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">More effective treatment of dynamically loaded structured data markup<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The ability to test either an entire URL or an isolated code snippet<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/improvemysearchranking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/rich-results-test-google.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-13061\" src=\"https:\/\/improvemysearchranking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/rich-results-test-google-1024x558.png\" alt=\"rich-results-test-google\" width=\"600\" height=\"327\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Rich results \u2014 powered by structured data \u2014 can include images, carousels, and non-textual elements. It is important to remember that warnings \u2014 unlike errors \u2014 won\u2019t affect the eligibility of a page for showing up as a rich result.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the announcement blog post, Google reiterated this by saying:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cYou can use the Rich Results Test to test a code snippet or a URL to a page. The test returns errors and warnings we detect on your page.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note that errors disqualify your page from showing up as a rich result. While warnings might limit the appearance, your page is still eligible for showing up as a rich result.
