For reference, Google does not give this information to its users.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Google 0 &#8211; Bing 1<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The new and improved backlink research tool by Bing now has more information than ever, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The top anchor text<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Unique top referring domains<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Links on a page per page level<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This new set of information makes the Bing backlink tool a very handy assistant, especially when you are researching data for a link-building strategy. These new tools are part of Bing \u2018Similar Site\u2019s feature.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/improvemysearchranking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/bing-webmaster.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12908\" src=\"https:\/\/improvemysearchranking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/bing-webmaster.png\" alt=\"bing-webmaster\" width=\"928\" height=\"432\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is important to remember that before this update, the Bing backlink tool only had two backlink-related features:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Disavow<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All Links<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now, after the update, there is a third feature, i.e., Similar Sites.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>How to access it<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To access the updated backlink tool, log in to the Bing Webmasters Tools and click on Backlinks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You\u2019ll notice that there is now a second tab that says \u2018Similar Sites\u2019 \u2014 where you\u2019d be able to add competitor websites for backlink comparisons and competitor data.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/improvemysearchranking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/bing-backlinks.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-12910\" src=\"https:\/\/improvemysearchranking.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/bing-backlinks-1024x447.png\" alt=\"bing-backlinks\" width=\"474\" height=\"207\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><b>What\u2019s so special about it?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To be honest, there are many tools (free and paid) that give similar information about competitor backlinks.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, this news is exciting for two reasons:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This data comes directly from a search engine. Although you could always see your own website\u2019s link data, now you can also see link data of websites that you do not have verified access to.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Second, this will push the SEO industry forward. Who knows, Google may also be forced to show competitor backlink data similar to how Bing is doing now. Healthy competition is always good for the end-user.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><b>A word of warning<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While this is all indeed very exciting and helpful, remember that the Bing backlink tool won\u2019t give you complete backlink information of your competitor\u2019s website.
